Call w/ Gordon

The call I had with Gordon was extremely insightful and opened my mind to a new way of looking at students. We began by talking about what fields we were in and the teaching practices we have really learned from so far. The conversation was flowing and we were also able to talk about the trends we have seen so far. We were able to talk about the many differences and similarities between the world of fashion and engineering and how being an young adult learner (even a leaner from a non-english speaking country) can be difficult since we are not thinking like how we used to think as students since they are from a much different generation of learners. We discussed the trend of the metaverse and how web3 is taking over the fashion world and we were also able to chat about how we can improve teaching habits moving forward with this young adult learners. For me, I decided that I will have to hand hold a little more as first year students are still very maluable and I can work harder to implement best practices week to week of my entire course.
